Recently, The RockStar Executive from Sin City Presents had the opportunity to talk with Gee Silver read on to see what Gee  has to share about what’s next Mr. Scary.

Sin City Presents:

First, thank you for taking the time to chat with us!  You’ve been in the music business for a long time……….. When did you move to Vegas and start working with the guys on the local scene here?

Gee Silver:
Yes, I’ve been around a bit! LOL I actually stopped playing completely for about 7 years .  I moved here in 2006 to get away from 7 hurricanes, LOL……started playing again and got into the “scene” here when Feelgood’s opened its doors in 2009.

Sin City Presents:
Dude that’s awesome! Same story here almost 6 years without playing.
So, since 2009 has it just been “Mr. Scary”  or were there some other bands initially?

Gee Silver:
a couple others initially

Sin City Presents:
It definitely takes time to get the right chemistry

Gee Silver:
Yes, but in this case, it was the wrong formula for music genre….I was going after the 90s, and this town is very much still about the 80s…….but not tough for me, as I was brought up in the 80s/90s styles, it was easy to go that route…and – we’re talkin’ LYNCH, my big influence!

Sin City Presents:
LYNCH is the man! Definitely one of my top 3 favorite players.  Who are some of your other influences?

Gee Silver:
Rhoads, Aldo Nova, Lynch, Gary Moore Oz Fox, Jerry Cantrell, Clint Lowery

Sin City Presents:
So you basically adapted to fit more with what’s popular on the scene here, that’s actually awesome… GREAT LIST!

I was talking to someone else recently about Gary Moore, fired me up!  I’m permanently changed from it

Gee Silver:
Yeah, Gary Moore is sick. Gone, God bless him…..

Sin City Presents:
Absolutely… one of the most phenomenal players ever.   So did you just basically learn new material for covers, or just go back into the archive and polish up?

Gee Silver:
Serious archives were accessed!! Lol. My brain hurt having to relearn everything, but it’s so worth it. So many cool tunes and a lot of really challenging parts!

Sin City Presents:
When it feels new again, it’s very cool

Gee Silver:
Yes Sir!

Sin City Presents:
“Mr. Scary” is a Dokken tribute band, how about original music?  Are you working on anything new?

Gee Silver:
Yes, I’ve Been working with a producer on my own stuff, as well as “Mr. Scary”

Sin City Presents:
Congratulations definitely in order! Looking forward to hearing it all!

Gee Silver:
For us it’s one thing to do our best to represent the songs perfectly, but we want to evoke more emotion and adding visuals is important.
