I’ve always favored female vocalists with that strong and powerful tone and Carol-Lyn definitely fits the profile. Recently, I had an opportunity to chat with Carol-Lyn, the newest addition to the Raiding The Rock Vault family, and although she is new to the Rock Vault family Carol-Lyn is not new to music or new to a Las Vegas Showroom!
Originally from Southern California, however she’s been rockin’ in Las Vegas for 20 Years. In 2010 Carol-Lyn was among the cast of Masters of Rock, a rock impersonator show at the Rio Hotel & Casino and now she shares the stage with those that rocked it from the 60’s to the 80’s!
As the founder Dangerous Curves, this all female rock band delivered power driving ROCK and hit the Vegas scene with an extensive cross gender set list. The power vocals of Carol-Lyn are heavily influenced by other powerful women that ROCK like Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Chrissie Hynde and Karen Carpenter which give her incredible versatility. Following Dangerous Curves she performed regularly with the Iron Maidens and the Sin City Sinners. In 2011 she joined Aces High and Iron Maiden Tribute Band. This power lead vocalist commands the stage whether she is singing POWERSLAVE from Iron Maiden or HEART BREAKER from Pat Benatar.
There’s more to Carol-Lyn than just the music! Entertaining crowds seems to be in just about every aspect of her life. When she is not center stage she is busy supporting her daughter, Veronica Rothenhausler’s career as a MMA Invicta FC Featherweight fighter as well as her hubby Patrick Puffer who is also an entertainer (vocalist, guitarist and songwriter.) In 2013, Examiner.com named Carol-Lyn as one of the “Top five most awesome moms of women’s MMA stars.”
What’s ahead for Carol-Lyn? On her bucket list-perhaps the addition of her own studio and work on her original music that has more of a new country mid tempo sound and working up the courage to go see her up and coming MMA fighter daughter, Veronica Rothenhausler fight live. For the most part Carol-Lyn says “every day is a day to rock and roll”. She’s humbled to be able to share the stage with her Rock Vault family and is reminded of the greatness that started there by a small 3×3 piece of wooden flooring from the original stage in that showroom that hosted Elvis and to be a part of the rock revolution that is underway with Las Vegas being at the epicenter.
You can see Carol-Lyn Liddle perform five nights a week in the #1 Show in Las Vegas, Raiding The Rock Vault at the LVH Hotel Casino as well as keep up with her on Facebook for upcoming special events with the Rock Vault cast and future show dates for Aces High.
