If you’ve been rockin’ in Sin City as since the 70’s then “Meet Me At The Grape” is a phrase you’re familiar with! This Friday and Saturday ( 1/23 & 1/24) bands that played “The Grape” and fans that frequented the Vegas hot spot are coming together to celebrate some ‘”old school” rock n roll to support the music program at the Las Vegas Academy of Arts. One of the event organizers, Davyo Thompson said, “it’s going to be like a high school reunion on steroids.”
The reunion is a fundraiser to benefit the Las Vegas Academy of Arts and proceeds from the sale of “Moby Grape” merchandise will be donated to the school. The Grammy-award winning music department allows students to participate in comprehensive activities that include instruction in brass, guitar, percussion, piano, strings, vocal, woodwinds, basic musicianship, history, music technology, theory, and world music.
