Mandalay Bay Opens Convention Center Expansion and Welcomes First Group

LAS VEGAS — Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino opened a 350,000-square-foot expansion to its convention center and welcomed its first group, MAGIC, into the new space this week. The expansion includes new exhibit space, a 20,000-square-foot foyer and underground parking in this first phase of the project. Construction began in October 2014 and upon completion of the project in January 2016, the Mandalay Bay Convention Center will boast more than 2 million total square feet and over 900,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space.
