LAS VEGAS — The lights of Las Vegas were dimmed for 11 minutes on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017, to honor the victims and heroes of last week’s tragic event. The digital marquees along the iconic Las Vegas Strip and throughout the Las Vegas Valley darkened from 10:05 p.m. – 10:16 p.m. PST exactly one week after the event. Following the tribute, digital marquees throughout the valley displayed a message of resilience: “When Things Get Dark, Las Vegas Shines.” This message will remain in rotation until Monday morning.
