LAUGHLIN, Nev. — One of country music’s most beloved singers took the stage at the Laughlin Event Center on Saturday, Oct. 10. Carrie Underwood performed for a sold-out crowd of more than 20,000 fans in the open-air amphitheater.
The singer is known for her many hit songs, including “Before He Cheats,” “Blown Away,” “Something in the Water,” “Jesus Take the Wheel” and her latest song “Smoke Break.” During the concert, the singer performed fan favorites and songs from her fifth album, “Storyteller,” which will was released on Oct. 23.
Carrie Underwood began her career on American Idol, where she was the fourth-season winner. Her four albums have received wide acclaim and recognition.
The singer has won numerous Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards and a nomination for a Golden Globe Award. One of her most notable achievements was being inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008. Other accolades include Rolling Stone recognizing her as the female vocalist of her generation in all genres, Country Music’s reigning queen by Billboard, the first and only country artist to debut number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and female artist with the most number one hits on Billboard’s Hot Country chart. According to the Recording Industry Association of America’s Singles rankings, Carrie Underwood is the top country artist of all time, among many others.
Her performance in Laughlin is the only Nevada stop currently listed on her tour calendar.
